Staking step by step

1. Desktop/Mobile Wallet built-in browser (easiest)

This is the easiest way to stake if you have SUI browser extension wallet on desktop or familiar with using SUI mobile wallet built-in browser. Popular wallets like SUI Wallet, Martian Wallet, Desig, Nightly, Suite, Ethos Wallet, and Surf wallet are supported.

Staking on desktop:

  1. Go to https://stake.fish/networks/sui
  2. Click Stake Now (redirects to suivision.xyz)
  3. Click Connect wallet. Choose your wallet and sign the connect message.
  4. Enter the amount of SUI you want to stake, Click Stake NOW

Staking on Mobile Wallet built-in browser:

  1. Install and setup wallet if you don’t have it. SUI Wallet is the most popular.
  2. Open the mobile app like SUI Wallet
  3. Click on apps, and enter in stake.fish/networks/sui in the URL on the top bar.
  4. Follow step 2-4 in desktop.

2. Staking directly with wallets

Most mobile wallets support staking natively within the wallet. You can find our validator and stake directly.

SUI Wallet (browser & mobile)

  1. Install SUI Wallet and setup the wallet if you don’t have it.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Click on “Start staking SUI”, and select on “Begin native staking”
  4. Sort to by Name A-Z, and find stakefish, and select stakefish
  5. Enter the amount and click “Stake now”

Suiet Wallet (browser)

  1. Install Suiet wallet plugin from https://suiet.app/ and setup as needed
  2. Click on the SUI Token and click stake
  3. In the search bar, type in stakefish and select the validator from the list.
  4. Enter the amount and click “Confirm”

Martian Wallet (browser)

  1. Install Martian wallet plugin from https://martianwallet.xyz/ and setup as needed
  2. Unlock your wallet
  3. Switch your network to SUI.
  4. Click on Stake your SUI & sort by name
  5. Select stakefish, enter the amount
  6. Click preview, and confirm & stake.

Nightly Wallet (browser & mobile)

  1. Install the Nightly wallet from https://nightly.app/download and setup as needed
  2. Unlock your wallet
  3. Click on Stake icon, and choose Regular staking
  4. Click on + on top right. In the search bar, type in stakefish, and select from the list.
  5. Enter the amount, and click “Create position”
  6. Confirm the transaction.

3. Staking with multisig

On SUI, there are two products that provide multsig:  MSafe (no staking support) and Desig.

Staking with Desig

  1. Install Chrome extension from https://desig.io/install-app
  2. Proceed to create your wallet & follow the instructions to backup your wallet.
  3. Send funds to your multisig wallet.
  4. Expand the account (it’s a little hidden) to find stake.
  1. Click staking then click on Discover & Compare.
  2. Enter stakefish to filter, and select stakefish
  3. Click Stake, then enter the amount.
  4. Click Stake & Confirm.

4. Staking with Ledger (browser)

Ledger wallet is supported with SUI Browser wallet.

Install Ledger Live & SUI App

  1. Install https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live , the desktop app that operates your Ledger hardware wallet.
  2. Connect the Ledger wallet using USB cable.
  3. Navigate to your “My Ledger” and search “SUI” app in the app catalog.
  4. Click install.

Connect Ledger Device to SUI Wallet

  1.  Navigate to the SUI app on your hardware device and select the app.
  2. Open and unlock your SUI Wallet
  3. Click Add next to “manage” accounts & pick “Setup up Ledger”
  4. A popup will appear, select your Ledger device and click Connect.
  5. Select the Ledger account you want to use & confirm with your SUI wallet password.
  6. On the ledger device, navigate to settings & enable “Blind signing” (one time)

Staking with stakefish

  1. Ensure you have selected the Ledger wallet by switching to it in Accounts.
  2. Click Stake & Earn SUI
  3. Sort by name, and find stakefish.
