Stakefish is one of the largest validators on the Ethereum Beaconchain today, helping stake roughly over 400,000 ETH across our own platform and Lido. Our two primary goals as an Ethereum validator from day one have been to, first, ensure Ethereum is secure and second, provide the most optimal rewards for our stakers. Seeing how critical Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) has become with the rise of DeFi, we have been paying close attention to how this space is evolving in order to stay true to our primary objectives.
We have been witness to the impressive progress that Flashbots has made on Ethereum MEV from the PoW ecosystem and have worked closely with them on utilizing those tools from our partner organizations in PoW mining. Our ecosystem is very fortunate to have such a talented team working on democratizing MEV access as opposed to proprietarily benefitting from it through mercenary tactics. We were delighted when the team reached out to us to notify us that they have begun work on exploring Flashbots for Ethereum’s consensus layer after the merge to Proof-of-Stake.
We will be doing our part in the evolution of Flashbots on Ethereum’s consensus layer. As an early member of the ETH2 Flashbots Working Group, we will be contributing our resources to pushing progress for the benefit of the ecosystem. We are optimistic on Flashbots post-Merge, but we also want our stakers to rest assured as we will conduct a holistic independent review of Flashbots as we get closer to the Merge to ensure our objectives are met.
