stakefish Joins Mantle as Node Operator for Ethereum Liquid Staking Protocol
stakefish is proud to announce support for Mantle Ethereum Liquid Staking Protocol (Mantle LSP) as one of the four genesis node operators.
Mantle Staked Ether (mETH) acts very similarly to Lido’s staked ether (stETH). Here’s the basics of what you need to know:
- Stake ETH with Mantle LSP to instantly receive mETH;
- Unstake mETH to reclaim the initially staked ETH and accumulated rewards.
What is the Mantle Liquid Staking Protocol?
The Mantle Liquid Staking Protocol is a permissionless, non-custodial Ethereum Liquid Staking Protocol (LSP). The second of its core products, the introduction of the staking service represents Mantle’s expansion following the deployment of its Ethereum Layer-2 network. This new protocol deployed on the Ethereum and Mantle networks introduces a new Ethereum liquid staking solution, mETH.
The liquid staking protocol allows the pooling of Ethereum deposits from stakers where they will be able to receive a share of rewards generated by the Ethereum network.
When stakers choose to stake with Mantle LSP they receive mETH, a receipt token, which represents an underlying claim to the staked principle Ethereum and accumulated rewards. When stakers unstake their staked Ethereum from the Mantle LSP they will receive the sum of their staked ETH and rewards gained during the period in which they staked.
